Slide 1 - Working With Materials

This exercise assumes that you have completed the previous exercise and that Scenome is either still open to the databases created during that exercise or that the databases reside on disk. If you have not yet completed the previous exercise, please do so now.

Preparation Work

This series of instructions contains preparation work.

  1. If you are continuing from a save point, open an Explorer window to \EXERCISES.
  2. Create a new directory named TEXTURES.
  3. Double click USING_PALETTES.BOX to open the database.
  4. Return to the Explorer window.
  5. Go to the EXERCISES\PALETTES directory
  6. Double click MATERIAL_PALETTE.BOX to open the database in another copy of Scenome.
  7. Right click on each sample file and save the file to \EXERCISES\TEXTURES.
