Alter the cross-section curves.

Preparation Work

This series of instructions teaches you to alter the cross-section curves.

  1. Middle click the worksheet.
  2. Hit Q and Y to set the software to Translate/Select mode and curve pick filter.
  3. The translate manipulator appears.
  4. Move the cursor over the first loft cross-section curve and left click.
  5. The entire curve turns red, indicating selection: This is a picture of the worksheet.
  6. Left click and slowly drag the red line X-Axis manipulator handle to the left.
  7. Watch the delta indicator in the lower right corner of the worksheet.
  8. Release the left mouse button when the delta indicates a translation of -8 along the X-Axis.
  9. Hit F1 to refresh the entire scene. The geometry updates.
  10. Move the cursor over the middle curve and left click.
  11. Left click and slowly drag the green line Y-Axis manipulator handle upwards.
  12. Release the left mouse button when the delta indicates a translation of 8 along the Y-Axis.
  13. Hit F1 to refresh the entire scene. The geometry updates.
  14. The worksheet looks like this: This is a picture of the worksheet.
  15. Hit I to set the software to pick curve point filter.
  16. Move the cursor over the bottom point on the second curve and left click.
  17. The point turns green, indicating selection: This is a picture of the worksheet.
  18. Hit F2 twice to rotate the manipulator.
  19. Left click the red planar XY handle and slowly drag the manipulator down and to the left.
  20. Release the left mouse button when the delta indicates a translation of -5 along the X-Axis and Y-Axis.
  21. Hit F1 to refresh the entire scene. The geometry updates.
  22. The worksheet looks like this: This is a picture of the worksheet.
  23. Save your work.
    You can edit the geometry at the level of curve or face-edge-vertex.
