Build Terrain
Introduction
In this exercise you'll learn how to build a preview mesh from a USGS 1-degree DEM. Please note: At present Scenome only loads USGS 1-degree DEM data. The commercial version will support additional formats. Right now you can convert some data to DEM for use with Scenome but converting an SDTS file to a DEM does not create usable data. You can of course load a DEM created from an SDTS file but the edges of any such DEM do not contain elevation values because of the way SDTS data is stored.
