Customize Keyboard Tab
The keyboard tab allows you to customize the keyboard accelerators for any command. You can remove an accelerator from a command, assign an accelerator, or reset all the accelerators. First, you select a category and then select a command. If there is a keyboard accelerator already assigned to the command, the current accelerator is displayed in the Current Keys window. Otherwise, you can set a keyboard accelerator and assign it.
Options are:
- Category. Lists commands for the selected category.
- Commands. Lists the commands in each category.
- Description. Displays a short text description of the command.
- Set Accelerator For. Unused in version 1.0.
- Current Keys. Shows the current keyboard accelerator, if any.
- Press New Shortcut Key. Left click here and press the key or sequence of keys that you wish to assign as the accelerator.
- Assign. Once you have selected an accelerator for a command, you must use the Assign button to finalize.
- Close. Closes the customization center and saves any changes.
