Link node properties are as follows.
| Name |
|
| Name |
- parameter is: string
-
Sets the name of the node. Do not use / or \ [forward slash and backslash]
in the node name as this produces conflicts with NodeLink resolution to external files. Otherwise,
any ASCII character is valid.
|
| Local Link Settings |
|
| Node Type |
- parameter is: List
- Sets the type of node to which the link is pointed. This is not
strictly required but helps optimize Scenome's performance. If you
are unsure, select Node from the listed options.
|
| Point At A Node In This File |
- parameter is: Reference
-
If the link references a node in the same file, drag and drop
the node over this parameter to set the reference. If you reference
a local node, the Point At This .BOX File and Point At This Node Inside The File parameters
are ignored.
|
| Point At This .BOX File |
- parameter is: File Path
-
If the link references an external file, this parameter
allows you to select the file. By default, reference file
paths are absolute but Scenome provides a command for converting
an absolute path to a relative path. Scenome also provides a command
for converting a relative path to an absolute path.
|
| Point At This Node Inside The File |
- parameter is: string
-
If the link references an external file, this parameter
allows you to select a specific node in the external file. If you
do not set this parameter, Scenome assumes you want to reference the
entire external file. The format of this string is analogous to the path
on disk except the node names are used instead of directories. EX: To
reference a light in a file you might type /Lights/Sunlight. Light might
be a group directly beneath the root and Sunlight is a light node. You
do not need to type Root.
