CreateDynamicTextureModifier

This command creates a DynamicTextureModifier.

Using This Command

Select a mesh and apply the command.

  1. Select a mesh.
  2. Right click and choose DynamicTextureModifier from the listed options.
  3. The software adds a DynamicTextureModifier to the mesh construction history.
  4. Configure the TerrainOptionsModifier Preview Settings properly.
  5. [The DynamicTextureModifier uses parameters in the OrthoImageryOptionsModifier to determine which textures to load.]
  6. Right click over the DynamicTextureModifier and select Force Regeneration from the listed options.
  7. The software generates a texture for the mesh.

Working With DynamicTextureModifier

Please keep this in mind.

  1. The OrthoImageryOptionsModifier must point at a directory with GEOTIFF imagery.
  2. The directory must also contain Scenome metadata for the GEOTIFF imagery.
  3. This imagery must overlap the mesh containing the DynamicTextureModifier.
  4. The OrthoImageryOptionsModifier Preview Settings are used by the DynamicTextureModifier.

Figures

This modifier uses multiple-threads to generate in the background a texture for a geographically projected mesh. This texture is generated from GEOTIFF imagery. When this modifier runs, it loads the GEOTIFF imagery specified in the OrthoImageryOptionsModifier and produces a texture that is perfectly clipped to the terrain mesh. This modifier cannot operate unless there is a properly configured OrthoImageryOptionsModifier in the construction history.
