This command creates a GeographicTextureModifier.
Select a mesh or facet-set and apply the command.
This command transforms the texture coordinates of the mesh or face-set into a projected coordinate system. This can transform imagery without any geographic referencing information, such as a bitmap into a projected coordinate system, as well as imagery with geographic referencing information.
Figure 1.1. A bitmap [.BMP] without any geographic
referencing information whatsoever.
Figure 1.2. The bitmap projected onto the mesh with correct
geographic referencing despite the absence of any such information in the bitmap itself. This
makes things much easier than you might otherwise expect:
Figure 1.3. You can even change projection.
Figure 1.4. The mesh construction history.
Figure 1.5. Because Scenome's modeling is parametric, you can
change the tessellation of the geometry and everything updates instantly.
Figure 1.6. You can also change the size of the mesh very easily.
Everything updates seamlessly and instantly. Yet the geographic projection and texture projection
remain completely perfect. You can change it again and again and again.
