CreateInsetModifier

This command creates an InsetModifier.

Using This Command

Select a face-set and apply the command.

  1. Select a face-set.
  2. Right click and choose Inset from the listed options.
  3. The software adds an InsetModifier to the mesh construction history.

Figures

This command insets faces by using an ExtrudeModifier. A separate command is used to create inset geometry because it's easier to understand. An inset is just a tapered extrude without an actual extrusion length.
