CreateSubdivideMrSidImageryProgramNode

This command creates a SubdivideMrSidImageryProgram node in the hierarchy. A program node is similar to a dialog-based wizard except the wizard is stored in the scene graph. This program subdivides an entire MrSid file and outputs high-resolution and low-resolution GEOTIFF tiles suitable for use with Scenome. Typically this program produces hundreds or thousands of output GEOTIFF tiles from a set of MrSid files.

Using This Command

Select Modify » Programs » Program: Subdivide Imagery MrSid from the main menu. You need to install GDAL third-party software to use this command.

  1. Create a SubdivideMrSidImageryProgram node.
  2. Double click the SubdivideMrSidImageryProgram node and configure its options.
  3. Right click on the node and select Execute This Command from the listed options.
  4. The command generates a batch file and drives command-line software that performs the extraction.

The high_resolution GEOTIFF tiles are a full-resolution 4×4 subdivision of the MrSid file. The low_resolution GEOTIFF tiles are also from the 4×4 subdivision but the tiles have been resampled to 128×128 pixels. The SubdivideMrSidImageryProgram node performs all the subdivision, renaming, resampling, and copying of GEOTIFF tiles.
