What Is Scenome?
Scenome is 3d modeling software for building digital scenery, including terrain.
OpenFlight Support?
Scenome will export OpenFlight files in the near future.
CTDB or OTF or SAF
Scenome may support these formats and features in the future.
Supported Imagery Formats
Scenome loads GEOTIFF and DEM imagery for elevation and texture. Scenome can convert very-large MrSid files into a set of tiled GEOTIFFs. Scenome can convert DTED and ArcGrid to GEOTIFF.
Tile Transitions
Transitions between meshes of different resolution are handled by using homogenous edge-vertex sets. This means the edges of a terrain tiles always have the same number of vertices regardless of the current level-of-detail.
Integrating Areal, Linear, & Point Features
Scenome supports feature modeling and integration; these features have not yet been released.
Shapefile Import
Scenome does not import shapefiles but will do so in the near future.
Multiple Geocell Support
You can build multiple geocells with Scenome.
Shader Support
Internal build only at present. The light commercial platform will not have shader support; the heavy commercial platform will have full shader support and support for building multi-channel meshes and multi-texturing.
SDTS Elevation Data
Not likely and not likely to change.
