Installing Simdify Compute+ Module

In this exercise you'll learn to purchase, install, and activate Simdify Compute+ Module. There are four steps in this process:

1. Purchasing Simdify Compute+ Module and downloading the installer to your machine.
2. Installing Simdify Compute+ Module on your machine.
3. Activating Simdify Compute+ Module.
4. Verifying Simdify Compute+ Module.

Purchasing Simdify Compute+ Module

1. First install Simdify Free Edition. Once you have completed that step, return here.
2. Shut down any running Simdify applications.
3. Make sure you are signed in to your Scenomics account.
4. Go to the Simdify Compute+ Module page.

   Find the button that says $89 — Add To Cart.

   
5. Click $89 — Add To Cart.

   The button text changes to say Checkout.

   
6. Click Checkout.

   You will be taken to the checkout page where you can complete the purchase.

   
7. Enter payment details and place your order.

   Once the transaction completes, you will be taken to the order confirmation page.

   
8. Left click the Account option in the web site navigation bar at the top.
9. Find the Downloads section on your account page.

   Your download link and activation keys are available here. You'll need this key in a few minutes, so please keep this browser window open.

10. Click the link Simdify-Compute-Plus-Module.exe to download the software.

    This will be stored in the downloads folder on your system. Remember how to find this file again. If you lose track of it, you can probably find it by selecting the Downloads option from the menu in Chrome or Firefox. Consult your browser documentation if you cannot find the location of the file.

Installing Simdify Compute+ Module

1. Shut down any running Simdify applications before you proceed.

   Installation will not work if there are any running Simdify applications!

2. Run simdify_compute_plus_module_installer.exe to start the installation process.
3. Select I accept the agreement and click Next to proceed.

   The installer displays the install location. Use the default value.

   
4. Click Next to proceed.

   The installer warns you that the folder already exists. This is normal. You must install the files in the Scenomics folder.

   
5. Click Yes to proceed.

   The installer displays the final installation path.

   
6. Click Install to proceed.

   The installer copies the files onto your system.

   

   The installer notifies you when installation is complete.

   
7. Click Finish to close the installer.

Activating Simdify Compute+ Module

1. Bring up the Start Menu. (NOTE: Your Start Menu might not exactly match the image shown below.)
2. Type Simdify Application Binaries.

   This shows a folder that you can click on to open.

   
3. Left click the folder named Simdify Application Binaries to open the folder.

   This opens the folder containing the Simdify application binaries.

   Except as instructed below, do not alter the contents of this document as it might cause your Simdify installation to stop working!

   
4. Find the file named Simdify-Compute-Plus-License-Manager.exe.
5. Double click Simdify-Compute-Plus-License-Manager.exe to start the license manager.

   The license manager starts.

   
6. Use CTRL + C to copy the unlock key from the Downloads section of your account page.

   For example: the unlock key looks something like this:

   7FB1-2ED4-2B-C52E-F435

7. Use CTRL + V to paste the unlock key into the activation dialog.
8. Click Continue to complete the activation process.

The license manager disappears. The software activation process is complete.

Verifying Simdify Compute+ Module

1. Start the Module app. (Start > Programs > Scenomics > Module) or (Windows® key and then type 'Module' to find the app icon.)
2. Select File > Open from the main menu.
