Scenome 22.25 — 6/26/2022
Release details are described below.
- Shader Application. Updated the Magnifier draw mode to clamp preview pixel values at RGBA min/max values or normalized floating point values. When you move the magnifier over rendered geometry on the worksheet, the preview now clamps values at 0-255 or 0.0 to 1.0. Note that the Magnifier editor shows the exact values of the pixels, but we can't always generate a sensible RGBA preview value for all data. For example: if you are evaluating data that is not an image, such as positions, or other values that may be computed in the shader, but don't map nicely to typical color values. Note that it still remains possible to perform quantization in the shader if you want to see RGBA values for any type of data. Ideally, the Magnifier draw mode should remove the need for this type of quantization to be done in the first place since it allows you to see the underlying values.
- Shader Application. Fixed a document bug in the Shader app video templates. This bug occured because the SPA_Video.mesh_max had a vector dimension of 4 instead of 3. Shader app build code then compared 4 to 3 and would rebuild the <StructInstanceNode> in the video templates. After the rebuild, the document was fixed, but the <StructInstanceNode> was always updated at least once when it wasn't necessary to do so.
- Shader Application. Updated <VideoControlNode> editing wizard to present correct start and end frames when available. Start and end frame information is typically only available for video files. Video streams from live cameras may not have start frame or end frame information.
